Douglas Gansler has served as Maryland’s Attorney General since 2007. Prior to this, from 1999 to 2007, he worked as State’s Attorney for Montgomery County in which his office became the first in the country to fully implement community-based prosecution.  Attorney General Gansler believes that by growing our economy, we can meet the needs of people, fund our schools and stand for democratic values.  And we can do it with transparency and accountability.
