Faith-based Technical Assistance

Over the next 30 years, Prince George's County will be investing $7 Billion on stormwater projects and initiatives.

Target Audience: Churches, Nonprofits and Faith-based Groups

For grants, churches get up to $200,000 for a stormwater practice on their property!

Program Description: Faith-based Technical Assistance Program is a training and technical assistance program offered by the PFC Coalition to build the capacity of churches to apply for environmental grants, increase their knowledge of stormwater stewardship, and build the pipeline of potential grantees for the Chesapeake Bay Trust (CBT).  The churches will also learn on how to participate in the Alternative Compliance Program.

Alternative Compliance Program (ACP) - is an elective partnership between Prince George’s County and qualified tax-exempt faith-based organizations or other 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations to improve water quality in the county by treating and reducing polluted stormwater runoff.  Under the program, organizations may qualify for a reduction in a portion of their Clean Water Act Fee by participating in Restoration, Outreach, Education, Green Care and Good Housekeeping projects.

If you are interested in participating in any of the programs for your church, please contact us.
