Safe teen driving involves Parents

Through the SafeTDip Program (safe Teen Driving Involves Parents) the PFC Coalition has partnered with two of our businesses a nonprofit and youth to implement the program.

The SafeTDipSafe program focuses on teens ages 16-18 to bring more awareness around the importance of safe teen driving and the role parents can play.

Through the program, students attend 5 educational workshops and parents attend 1 parent engagement workshop.  Students who participate will receive 6 hours of behind the wheel driver education training.  The benefits of the SafeTdip program will be to have more safe teen drivers on the road, and more informed and engaged parents ”

We successfully completed our 1st program in April 2017 during Spring Break week and the students provided valuable feedback on how to improve teen driving programs. The parents also learned great tips to share with each other.
