The Suitland Rain Barrel project was funded through a grant from the Prince George's County Department of the Environment. It was a partnership between the Suitland Civic Association (SCA) and the People for Change Coalition (PFCC) where residents attended educational workshops and learned about the use of rain barrels in stormwater management.

30 Rain Barrels were installed and the community learned how to maintain the rain barrels.
